Car runs pretty good however everyone once and awhile it has a momentary loss of power and shudders, then regains power. Also when pulling out in traffic or trying pass when I gun it it hesitates a second then kicks in. On the highway I can be going 70 -80 and it runs like a champ.

I have replaced all the spark plugs ( fun fun fun ) and coil packs with OEM Motorcraft . Run fuel cleaner and Seafoam through system to clean any carbon.

Is it maybe a vacuum issue ?

Thanks

Once you find a solution, I'd like to know as well. I'm having some of the same symptoms.

actually ford didnt know either but were suspicious it was the torque converter ( i googled and seems to be a common problem ) and told me to come back in a week when their transmission guy was there. I then took it to two private mechanics and they couldn't figure it out either. So I took it to the transmission place and they want $ 750-1200 for a rebuilt one but cant guarantee that is the problem until they open it up then there is a $ 200.00 re-assembly fee if I don' t do the work. Im like stuck in transition ...frustrating !!

My car still bucks and violently shakes when coming out of 3rd bewteen 30-40 MPH then it goes away. Ive also tested with turning OD off and that seems to help but doesnt totally fix.

Let me know what you come up with and ill keep you posted as well.

thanks

We've had a few forum members that have had good luck doing a transmission fluid change, to get rid of roughness. You didn't mention any of the mechanics doing a Dtc codes check, or a fuel pressure test. Their can be a restriction in the fuel system, from the pump, or it can be a partially clogged injector. using drop in fuel cleaners are marginal at best. Professional fuel injection cleaning under pressure is the way to go. Shuddering is usually, but not always fuel delivery. Bucking is electrical. Please you run, or have your mechanics run the tests, and get back to us.
