Hello folks! I have a 2008 Expedition XLT that is getting the rear bags replaced with some Monroe coilovers. Now I know you can use the message center to turn off the air suspension, however, it would appear that the truck is programmed to turn it back on when you restart it.

The question is, is there any way to permanently turn off the air ride? If not, would the truck turn on the MIL, or go ham on the message center if I just replaced the bags and unplugged the compressor? Thanks for your time.

depending on the conversion set u bought they may or may not have given instructions on how to turn it off...there is a sensor that the springs have to engage in order to switch it off...and a few other steps...at least that how it was for my 04 and the directions were given by suncore with my suncore conversion set...u might be able to call them and see if there is anything for ur year...other than that...there is nothing u can do to turn it off...safety feature

I believe there is a module that some part manufacturers offer that tricks the system into thinkin the air suspension is good, i saw a setup on ebay that included it. I dont know if theres a standalone module however.

The only way to disable the light is by tricking the air suspension computer, which is under the dash, with a module. The only company that makes a module now is Arnott. They sell under a few different names on eBay. I don't know if you can buy just the module, it comes with their kits.

my suncore kit had instructions and would've done it...but I didn't use their springs to make this happen and opt for some drop springs in my conversion...or else it would've worked...I through those instructions away but if u search theyre in this forum...someone posted how to do it by the sensor that I'm talking about underneath on the suspension
