2010 4wd knob

I totally forget, 2010 limited, is the actual knob lit so you know where it is sitting in relation to 2wd, Auto, 4wd, & low or do you just read it on the dash ?
I just Bought a 2001 explorer for my daughter and both the knob and the stops are lit on it.

Pretty sure it's just on the dash.

Yeah I checked the headlights and that is the dash only. Kinda odd for both to be blown out at same time.
