2011 Gas Gauge Issue

Hey guys,

My wife filled up the expedition today and the gauge never responded. It is still reading empty and the cluster center display shows 12 miles to empty. I drove it to the gas station to make sure it was full. It took 0.3 gallons and then clicked off. Any easy ways to reset the gas gauge or do I need to take it in to the dealer?

If you are under warranty take it to the dealer. It could be the level float is stuck, the sensor it's connected to is bad, or something could have come unplugged.

Well if your battery died on you and you had to jump it you have to remove one of the terminals to reset it. it happend to me today had to drive 20 miles with the gas level peged on E. Try removeing one of the terminals first.
