2013 expedition door locks dont work with key

yesterday it started. my key fob wouldn't unlock the doors. i thought it was a dead battery. so i went out and bought and replaced the battery. the doors still wont unlock with the key but they will lock with the key. they lock and unlock with the switch on my door. is it just a bad fob? i only have one fob so i cant test it. if its the fob i need to buy from Ford correct? it needs to be cut and programmed for my VIN i hear. is this correct? cant buy one of amazon?

Can you feel the "click" on the key when you press the unlock button?

I had the same issue on my fob, it was the soldered button on the motherboard that had broken off....internal to the key.
