Hi Tim. Our 2016 has the same problem. Each time we drive by a cel tower it messes up the Sirius XM station. Another member on this forum replace the antenna module thingy and that solved his problem. There is a TSB for earlier models with the same exact problem. A couple years ago I called the local Ford dealer and they checked my VIN and said it didn't qualify for the TSB.
Use the search feature of this forum and look for Sirius. I'll order the part one of these days. The DIY installation didn't sound too painful.

Thanks for your answer - after reading all the posts and your reply it finally sunk in that the CELL towers are causing the problem...

What threw me off was that I keep having trouble connecting my iphone via bluetooth, and that even when it does connect to the Expedition, I cannot use 'Talk Text" which I live by...

My 2016 Explorer had no problems at all, so I guess I gotta take it in - paid for an extended warranty, but have been holding off due to the $100 deductable

Tim,
My '16 XLT had that issue too. The TSB worked in my case. The Ford dealer told me there was nothing wrong TWICE. They finally fessed up to an issue when I brought in the TSB and

asked them specifically about it. All of a sudden there was something to fix. No idea how involved the repair is, but it is worth the sleuthing.
