Thanks man!@16plati - side note here - you handled my jab phenomenally. I don't see any troll attitude here, just good clean fun. You're pretty cool in my book
Meh. If it truly is "hunting" as you claim (without actually owning or regularly operating a 10 speed trans), then it's the most amazing hunting I've ever witnessed.
I've played with the throttle - on flat and hilly terrain - trying to test the speed of which this transmission shifts. EVERY single time, the computer and transmission shift extremely quickly and deliberately into gear and this big hunk of aluminum gets moving.
I'll give you this - I've not yet put 1k miles on my '19, and I haven't been towing anything substantial yet. But I absolutely have put it through some tests. I'm very happy and quite surprised at its performance.

Are ya jealous? Do you need some internet love, too?get a room!
Mines an 18 with 2600 miles. I tried the sport mode once and I was pretty dang impressed that a three ton vehicle could be that quick. No problems with my trans either, shifts good fast or slow.

Mine shifts the same in my opinion. Theres never a delay on any shifts, and it often skips gears because Its under light load and doesn't need every gear. I usually goes 1-3-5-6-7-8-9-10 if I just daily drive it. Its by far the best transmission I've even driven! The NAG1 Mercedes trans was great too, but its only a 5 speed and this thing is far superior!
Press the plus button under your shift knob. (Or maybe it's the minus...I've answered this one before and I'm usually backwards but someone corrects me)I have a 17 that shows the what gear you are in. The 19 limited does not unless I put in manual mode. Is there a setting to show the gear on the dash.
**Please don't waste time looking it up in the manual, if it exists and you know great*
I should only have it a day or 2 more but I do like seeing the auto's selection. If it is hunting it's the smoothest auto transmission doing that I've driven.
I think it's the plus button. Just happen to notice/ find this todayPress the plus button under your shift knob. (Or maybe it's the minus...I've answered this one before and I'm usually backwards but someone corrects me)
Yay! I finally picked the right one! It's the plus button. Just happen to notice/ find this today
Related: Everyone probably knows this but....if you leave it in Auto and press the minus button, you can lock out the upper gears such that you can limit the top gear to whatever you want.Press the plus button under your shift knob. To the OP or others, do you have other vehicles with CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) where you don't feel any shifting?
I had a company provided and later owned Prius. I'd drive that all week and when I drove 2002 Tacoma on the weekends, each shift felt jarring. It was normal for the Taco but not feeling any shifting all week made it feel like the taco's transmission was defective.
