Greetings,

While I am not new to Expeditions, I wanted to inquire about any performance parts, tuners, etc. for the 2020 Ford Expedition.

Before you tell me to search, know that I did query a few searches for performance modifications with very few results.

That said, can anyone recommend any performance parts/modifications that can be used with the 3.5L EcoBoost motor? Such as tuners, chips, intakes, exhaust, boost pipes, etc.?

I know that I can simply "Google" this, but I wanted to hear from some enthusiasts regarding which manufacturers are better, which websites are recommended for purchasing, etc.

Thanks in advance!

It would be helpful to know your performance goals. Mild improvement? Maximum performance? Any towing? These engines are turbocharged, so it's easy to get good ROI on $$$ spent.

Whipple also has a Stage 1 kit that swaps out the intercooler, cold air intake, and does a PCM flash. I think it goes for around $2100. (I think you gain +90HP and +170 TQ).

Other options would be a straight tune with no hardware change.

Thanks for that website!

Mild performance improvement. Basic modifications such as tuners (not permanent tunes) or chips, intake, exhaust, boost pipes, etc. I am really just looking for recommendations of these types of products that others have tested out and believe to be good additions. I am not new to the car modification game at all - but I am new to Ford's EcoBoost motors.

Thanks for this info - while I would absolutely love something like this, the cost is a bit out of my budget - most likely because of the "Whipple" name.

I wouldn't bother trying to boost towing...expedition limited by wheelbase, weight, and brakes.

Not too worried about the towing aspect of things, to be honest. 9000+lbs of towing is sufficient for my Airstream.

Is there a tuner out there that anyone has tried (and recommends) that contains "boxed" tunes for different scenarios? Something like Diablo Sports, Superchips, etc.?

LokiWolf seems to be the most knowledgeable regarding tuners. HPTuners seems to be a popular option, but it's generally recommended to use whatever your tuner is most familiar with. There are many tuners that work on the Ecoboost platform.

Thank you for these sites. I shall review after work today.

I am suprised that no one has mentioned any of the "mainstream" tuner companies as I mentioned before. No one has had any experience with them?

Also, has anyone found a decent air intake system that doesn't cost $250+? I hesitate to check eBay for this vehicle, but I will admit that any many, many of my previous cars I have purchased an "eBay Special" for intakes that have lasted me years and years.

Performance wise I’d go in this order

1. tunes - BCB, ZFGRacing, 5 Star, Gearhead
2. Intercooler - Not sure who all is out there for the Gen 4 Expeditions
3. Downpipes+turbo flanges
4. Intake - this is only if you want to hear the turbos, no real performance

5. You wanna get wild, start looking at Ethanol and Ethanol tunes. E85 is a bad **** if you set it up right

6. Then there’s turbos

other things out there, BOVs, catch cans, exhaust, charge air piping, etc
