Is it as nice in person as we’ve all hoped? Fun to drive?
I'm incredibly impressed with the tech so far. The changing of the cruise speed dependant on speed limit signs AND to be able to adjust how far above or below the speed limit you wanna go. That one really impressed me. Wish I had that option on my 21 superduty. The suspension feels a little bouncy but I haven't had the chance to play with the drive modes to see how it affects the suspension. Also maybe I was expecting too much but if I had gotten the non SPP I think I would have been disappointed in the power. Don't get me wrong it's quick but not a throw you in your seat quick. Love the transmission so far. Very smooth shifting and fairly quick on the down shifts. I wasn't sure how I would like not having any physical buttons on the infotainment system but as other have said it's really intuitive. The resolution is a vast improvement and sync 4 is sweet. One thing I don't like about the appearance is the wheels and times, even though they're 22s, look really small in the wheel wells. I can see a 24 with the same profile tire looking much better and more to scale against such a large vehicle. That's just me though.

I'm not sure how it happened the way it did but it seems like anyone who ordered a week before me got put on chip hold and people who ordered days after me didn't even get scheduled until a couple weeks ago. I somehow lucked out. This is the only 22 in Southern Utah and possibly southern NV as well.

My Limited 4x4 with HD Tow, Stealth Performance Pkg, CCD, ControlTrac, and 15.5" Sync just arrived at my dealer (3 days ahead of their projected 23rd-26th window). Order date was 11/24/21.

Won't be able to pick up until next weekend, but one step closer to this incredibly painful saga being over/done with.

I don't care for the wheels. I'd rather have 20s or even 18s with more rubber. However at the point I'll take anything. I ordered 12/18 and production started 04/18 according to the original info I have but now she's add 04/26. It is now sitting in a parking lot waiting for something.

@not_in_alaska Unfortunately mine was built during the couple week period of vehicles going into chip hold. My original “chip hold release” delivery date was May 5…but has now been pushed back to August 6th. At this point I’m not holding my breath and I’m extremely pissed that vehicles are being completed off the line and shipped out that were ordered months after mine instead of putting the chips in vehicles that have been sitting in a parking lot for 2 months already.

I would bet the Augist 6 date doesn't hold much water. Last year while waiting on my superduty I had an August 31 Date for a couple months and ended up being delivered mid July. I would think that it's just a place holder date because they are unsure when they'll be able to get to those sitting on the lot.

I ordered my stealth 304A March 31st so looks like it will be a long wait. No emails or anything from Ford as of yet
I'm in the same boat. I ordered my Limited SPP 304A, 4x4 w/ eLSD and the CCD/road preview on 3/28. On 3/30 Ford sent a confirmation email indicating they received the order, but I've heard nothing since.

I knew it was wishful thinking, but I was hoping to get it before the kids got out for summer vacation. Looking at the delays everyone is posting, and assuming the package I ordered contains more computer chips than average, I'm guessing it's going to be a while.

I guess I shouldn't contain too much, having my 2022 Expedition order delayed is definitely a first-world problem.

One month before you and we are getting end of July build dates, I'd suggest ordering the exact same thing on day 1 of 2023 order banks that should open in the next couple of weeks. Don't cancel the other one in case it rolls to a 2023 as well, you can always cancel the unscheduled one once you get a scheduled build date for one of them.

Picked mine up today, finally, after 6+ months of waiting (11/24/21 order date).

Limited 4x4
304A Stealth Performance Pkg
HD Tow
CCD
ControlTrac
15.5" screen

Traded in my '19 Expedition Limited 4x4, the ownership of which turned into an clusterf!@# of epic proportions dealing with Ford and their complete inability to competently provide spare parts in a reasonable timeline. Long story short, my '19 has been out of service/at the servicing dealership for 3 out of the last 6 months. 3 consecutive trips for the same issue (CCD sensor/connectivity issue that trips a fault/error message while driving) starting in December of 2021, and is still there now for 6 weeks and counting on this latest service visit.

Ford has sent the wrong parts 2x in a row, and the 3rd replacement parts shipment is at least a month out (we all know how good Ford is at estimating ETAs). Thankfully the dealer I purchased from/traded in to (different from the dealer that is servicing the '19) was incredibly helpful in facilitating the trade-in even though they have no idea when they'll officially receive it.

If this Expedition turns into a lemon like my '19, I'll officially be done with Ford. It's beyond absurd to charge $80+K for a non-luxury SUV, and have a warranty that is effectively useless because spare parts are never available, loaners are never available, and the owner is expected to just deal with it with no help from FoMoCo.

Fingers crossed.

Looks great! Excellent color choice, if I do say so.

This is almost my same spec with the exception of me getting a max. It looks great! I’m hopeful to get mine by mid July, scheduled to build the week of 6/13.

I am getting closer on mine, and after being able to ignore the process for a while, the shipping part is driving me crazy. It shipped on 6/16, and says estimated 7/9 - 7/16, but it's coming via truck not rail, so I'm really hopeful that means it will take less time. If I could have it by July 4th that would be great.

On another note, for you other people with a Stealth Perf. Package order, here's a new test drive that I hadn't seen before. The video doesn't say it's a SPP, but it's a 304A package.

I ordered on 12/18 and it shows as built (6/20) but according to my dealer they hope to take possession by the end of July. I can't believe it will take 6-7 weeks for transport but oh well.
