Ordered a limited 4x4 304a SPP w/eLSD on 9/2/22. Nothing so far as of today, just the 6 week “delayed” status emails.

Hi. New member here with a 2023. Saw this on new thread so thought I’d share. Sent the GM a copy of my build from the Ford website on Dec 2nd. I picked my ordered Expedition up Monday. Forgot I had even ordered it as I didn’t make a down payment. Paid slightly less than sticker and got the 4.9 interest rate. I ordered TVs for the head rest for my kids. Other than that it is the lowest trim I could get with bucket seats. Also got 4x4 and Tricia’s white. Hope this helps. Edited to say it’s an XLT with 202a.

Check out Long McArthur Ford on YouTube, Tim Bartz puts out 2 videos a week and talks about scheduling, constraints and delays, he advised that Ford was delaying any Expedition factory orders that didn't have the HD Tow Package. a good resource to check out.

Final timeline update as we brought home our Max a few days ago. XLT, HD Tow, Pano roof.
2/6 - Order confirmed
2/9 - Production scheduled - for week of Mar 20
3/3 - status updated to In Production but for updated production date of 3/9
3/4 - window sticker available
3/9 - scheduled build
3/10 - actually in production (so wasn't truly in production on 3/3)
3/11 - built and waiting to schedule delivery
3/13 - shipped with est delivery at dealer Apr 5-11 via rail
3/27 - got a rail car number from Ford Chat after a few attempts of them saying it wasn't available. It was unloaded from the train this day in Richmond, CA
3/29 - arrived at dealer and we picked up that night (we're near San Luis Obispo)
This was 52 days and honestly pretty surprising. If you want a max quickly, this combo seems to be the sweet spot right now. It's slick and is even better in person. Poor pic but it's the dark grey with black tims and AWT tires.

We just got email that we are scheduled for production week of May 29th.

With order banks closing on 2023s yesterday when does ford typically announce any updates for 2024 models? Looking at a new 2022 plat but if 2024 will have improvements may just hold out...I hate the 2022/2023 platinums have the MCS delete and only $300 credit but financing incentive now is strong.

I ordered a 2022 Expedition Limited on March 3, 2022!! It was converted to a 2023 in August. Over a year later I still do not have a VIN. This is the craziest thing ever!!!!! If I get one more "supply chain" issue email I am going to scream! My brother works for ford..they have chips.

Might be the options you selected (or didn't select). My order was placed on March 8th, 2022 and got my 22 in October.
Now my friend wants to order a 23 and can't because supposedly Ford shut down ordering for the Expedition at this time.

Hi All - first post here.
I am interested in ordering a 2024 Expedition via the X-plan. Just a few questions:
- What is the general wait time to get a new vehicle? From the above, it's looking to be at least 5 months?
- When you use an X-plan pin# do you need to present that at the time you order? Or when the vehicle arrives?
- I have been searching for months to see details of the 2024 model but cannot find anything! I've heard it will be a mid cycle refresh, but is that for 2024 or the 2025 model year?

I’ll try my best at answering:
1. Depends on the trim and options. Apparently orders with the Max Tow Pkg are/were being prioritized. Wait time could as short as 2 months or as long as 10+ months. I ordered Labor Day weekend 2022 and am still waiting for production to be scheduled.
2. I believe the pin is presented at the time you take delivery. Just ensure your dealer has agreed to x-plan pricing before you order and place a deposit. This price should also be in your order documents from the dealer.
3. I’ve only heard rumors about the 2024 MY, but I thought I read somewhere there may be a hybrid option and a new redesign, but again, we don’t know and with the supply chain backed up, plans may be delayed.

In my experience the PIN had to be generated and presented upon ordering to confirm your Xplan eligibility and to get the associated pricing. It then had to be presented again at delivery so you could get the proper paperwork to sign.

Xplan can be generated later when the vehicle is delivered. They don't order the vehicle for you based on it being an xplan purchase so that's done at the time of delivery/purchase.

Some updated pics:
Had the Chrome Deletion done on the chrome belt line that runs right underneath the drivers side window all the way to the back of the truck and all the way up to the passenger side window, also replaced the lugs with Gorilla Black Chrome Lugs and wheel locks.
Check out Tim Bartz from Long McArthur Ford on YouTube. He does 2 live shows a week and will have information as to when the 2024 Ordering Bank should be opening up. Good Luck!!!

Just cancelled my order. It's been nearly 4 months since I placed the order and still no build date. I suspected it was going to get pushed to a 2024 and I'd have to wait several more months.
I found a near identical 23 Expy on a dealer lot. I get 2nd row captains chairs instead of a bench and I get the Sync4A instead of Sync4. Other than that, it's the truck I ordered. They had a 304A on the lot, but no tow package or CCD. Hard pass.
