OP probably didnt have anything to compare it against, even now expeditions are still rare its hard to look at all the trims at one place. Atleast they noticed it b4 getting home. Im not in the market for the expy now, but after test driving all the variants I wanted, I was sure I was not getting the 24s cuz I thought it was more jittery. Now I know it was sumthin else.

Are the 24s more jittery? What's the cause you think.

That sucks. id make them go through 24's until i got a set that didnt have an issue. You paid for 24's.....get em! There is NOTHING more frustrating than a dealer that doesn't/cant/wont complete an easy or identified task. I know it might cost them in the short run, until ford reimburses them....but going above and beyond makes for lifetime customers. I had a similar experience getting the door code module installed on my bronco raptor. Worked out in the end, but we shouldn't have to question them or accept a stupidly high labor quote. Not everybody believes the old blinker fluid bit.
Getting new Nitro 24's today we shall see

Just purchased the top of the line Expedition -left with a vibration - took it back for the balance and still vibration - known issue but not being fixed What in the world are we supposed to do it's miserable to drive it on the highway and we have a long trip coming up and we bought it specifically for that! 93k and this is what we get?

Ideas? What the heck are we supposed to do it's beautiful but so very uncomfortable to drive shaking!
Update got new 24 inch wheels from dealership and picked it up today and the vibration is still there! So it went back and is supposed to get 22 inch wheels we shall see what happens

I wonder if the Wheels(rims) have a bad CNC code so they are not able to be properly balanced once the TPMS and 24"tires are installed....
The colored dots on the OEM tires are supposedly used to align them to the OEM rims...

BIG defect IMHO... Bummer

I love the 22" ride on my 2019 Expedition...

I hope they get you road worthy in time for your trip.

It should. From all the trucks I test drove, the 22in wheels on ccd is the best iteration for the expy, and the ride is as good or better than everything it competes with except maybe the air sprung gms.

Just to be clear…..the dealer HAS test driven it AND confirmed the issue is present as you describe it? Devils advocate. I imagine they get many people complaining of things that aren’t so. Example….my father in law had a z71 tahoe and couldn’t understand why, when in 4x4 hi, it would bind and chatter when turning tight on pavement. Kept taking it in. Dealer couldn’t figure out how to tell him that it was working as it should and that he was feeling a 4x4 engaging and trying to turn tires the same speed while going around a turn where outside and inside spin at different rates.

I have a Platinum plus on order and the build has been delayed now until August due to this known issue. I was given the option to go with 22’s and it could be built ASAP and would be given a little over a thousand dollars off the vehicle due to smaller wheels. Supposedly they are changing tire brands if i wait for the 24’s in August. We shall see. I almost lost it when i read that statement Ford put out for a fix. Change driving habits to drive vehicle everyday to prevent flat spots.

That's too funny. Good thing i'm not ready to buy anything new in this realm. I love that B.S. response, I've had cars sit over a year and never have noticeable flat spots. If in fact that's the case, stop using such crap materials on your $80k+ vehicles to reallocate that dollar savings to profitability.

It's not the tires they put 24/22/and 0's on it and couldn't get the vibration out beware! They allowed us to trade
