6 disc cd changer wont work

most of the time every once in a wwihle it'll work but most of the time when i go to turn it on it says magazine empty but the mag is not empty. when i put it in it will flip through all the discs then say its empty when its not. could it be a ground problem maybe? this ever happen to any body else?

I had the same problem with mine a few years back. Pulled it apart to make sure everything was sliding the way it should, and sure enough it was binding due to lack/dried out grease. Just added a little to the rails, slid it back and forth to work it in and had no problems since.
