7 blade to 5 wire flat adapter?

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2016 Expedition Limited with HD tow.

I've been using a 7 blade round to 5 wire flat adapter for my boat trailer with surge brakes which works fine with my existing 4-Runner's tow package.

Will I be able to use this same adapter with the Expedition, or do I need some other connection because of the Expedition's electric brake controller?

I believe it should work just fine as the wiring within the Expedition should be standard wiring diagrams for trailer connections. If your trailer is wired correctly for a 5 flat, then everything should be good to go.
