Ha. Bought a Westin brush guard which came off a 1999 f150. I know it won't bolt on directly but I was looking at it and thought I may be able to get some brackets fabricated to install it on my 06 Expy. The bolt on brackets on the guard go in and align with the bottom of the frame and are also lined up on the inside of the frame as well. My idea is to fabricate some brackets I could weld or bolt to the frame which extend down to the points of contact with guard. I would try to reinforce these brackets as much as possible due to them extending downward.

My question to you guys do you think this would be worth it or am I just gonna be out of luck? It looks like it would work I would just need to find a shop to cut and weld the brackets once I design them.

Oh yeah the guard only cost me $20.

For 20 bucks????? wow, dude that leaves you oh what 400 to play with brackets compared to the original cost?

Really tho, I had a shop make my brackets by hand for my grand cherokee and cost me 100 bucks after labor and materials. I paid 100 for my gaurd so 200 and still saved money.

I would totaly go for the fab shop and see what it would cost to put it on. would look great on the black expy.

Good luck

I have a couple friends around here I'm gonna check with first. They work on body work all the time. I'm gonna see if they have the materiel sitting around and may help with the welding.
