Hello again,

I thought that I would put my second issue in a new thread.

Second Issue: AGAIN, only when it is warm outside (75 or so and higher), my door ajar light kicks on. A warning beep occurs, the interior lights stay on, and the auto door lock system freaks out and clicks in and out for a few minutes. Sometimes it shuts off entirely, and acts as it should. Sometimes, under high temperatures outside, it doesn't. And when I park after this happens, and hit LOCK on my remote, the running board and inside lights always stay on for a very long time, and the Expy always honks twice... as if the door is really ajar. I have checked the doors several times, and they are all shut well. This only happens when it is warm outside. The dealership just shrugs thier shoulders at it, but it is VERY ANNOYING to me, and if I can't fix it would probably sway me against keeping the vehicle. Has anyone else dealt with this type of problem before? I would LOVE any input at ALL that you would have.

Thank you all for your time...

A common problem with the Expy's is the door ajar switch.

Before we go into taking averything apart, try spraying a GOOD dose of WD40 into the door latch area, where the switch is also located, and work the door handle arounnd for awhile. Very often it is just a sticky switch, and this cure has always solved the problem for me.

Good Luck!

Hopefully you have had this fixed by now, but I just wanted to let you know that I had the same problem on my driver side door, and it only happened when it was 95+ degrees out.

After much convincing of the dealership mechanic, they finally replaced the sensor/switch in the door that indicated the door was closed, and I haven't had a problem since.
