hey all. new here. so i bought a 99 expedition eddie bauer last night. and on further inspection today i see that it has air ride. and i noticed someone got rid of the rear air shocks and replaced them with regular shocks. now the fronts are still air shocks but all four shocks in the truck are junk.and it bounces down the road real bad. the front end is also sagging a lot. causing the front tires to kick in at the top. so i dont want the air ride anymore mainly due to the cost of fixing it. anyway can i just take the air shocks out and put in regular gas shocks? i have been reading up on it and it seems as if i can just swap the shocks out and be done with it but i also read i will need taller shocks. any info on this will be great. thank you all for the help.

You apparently have not read anything in this forum, especially in the suspension section as where you just posted and if you did you would of seen just about every other topic is concerning this very question.

you could be a dick about it or just answer the question. i dont feel like clicking 500 threads that mention air ride just to see that someone put an air ride in or what air ride is good. i just want to know if i can just throw shocks at it or if more is intaled. i bought it as a practical vehicle for my kids so i dont care about lifts mods etc. so your right i didnt read anything. if you dont like the thread or dont feel like answering it then dont. dont bust my balls over it

EASY EASY guys...not saying that you can ask a question without doing research/attempting to search the site...you can...happens all the time...people tend to say that they've search and havent come across what theyre looking for and the forum is more receptive to searching for you to get you in the right direction to fix your problems...

please dont let this stop you from asking questions we're more than willing to help...

SKYJUMPER...please take it easy on members/guest asking for help...we dont know the situation or what the person seeking help is going through...easier said than done...i've had my share of threads...but i realize that we dont know the situation and time may not be available for whoever's needing help...those who've been on the other site know...
