It does it sometimes, but not all the time. I can be driving 30 mph, 50 mph, 40 mph and the RPM'S will go up just a little and jump right back down to normal, and you hear and feel a little rumble and quick and short vibration that lasts for a split second to 2 seconds and then it might not happen again that day while driving or it could happen 1 more time or three more times while driving that day. It doesn't happen if i get on the highway and go 70 mph for an hour. The vibration feels like running over the warning ridges on the side of the highway.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I have the same issue on my 2000 5.4 w/A4WD...I have a feeling this was discussed before, but hopefully we can get you some good answers.

With my vehicle it is in A4WD at all times, unless I put it into 4 Hi or 4 Lo. There is no 2WD option.
