So the other day I got out of my 03 Expy and I noticed the radio stayed on even after the door was opened. Also, when I open the door the dome lights don't come on, there is no chime when the door is open, and the door ajar message doesn't appear. Also, my backup sensors don't work and my autoheadlights don't work. This all happened at once. I have no blown fuses and wd-40 did nothing. Any ideas?

The door ajar switch needs to be replaced, or the wiring to it is broken somewhere. When that switch closes ( grounds ) it completes the circuit therefore turning on the dome lights and shutting off the radio, but if the switch is stuck (open like if the door was closed) nothing will come on. If you open the passanger side door, does the radio go off and the lights come on? If so then you know for sure that it is either the switch or wiring in the drivers door alone. Hope this helps
