I'm not gonna get too crazy. I'm using that zx1500.1 class d that's in the plastic. I'm looking for a nice clean sound. But I know these l7's are gonna hit HARD!!!

Nah I have both amps. But now I'm hearing I may need a bigger alternator if I don't want my lights to dim

either 110 or 130 factory amp...im guessing the 4.6 has the 110 and the 5.4 has the 130...i had the 130...upgraded to 200...or 250 amp...i think theres a 300 and 350 out there too...according to THERMO...you can buy the parts and upgrade yourself or find a shop to do the upgrade for you

I know I'm a bit of a Debby Downer, but I will say it any way. From someone who's home theater takes two separate circuit breakers, with subs running on two 2.5 killowatt amps. Was into car audio quite a bit, was using welding cable for power wire to three amps in the loudest Plymouth horizon evar. (please do not laugh!).........

One word:

Tinnitus.


And it freaking SUCKS. And it (and the associated hearing loss) is irreversible. Use the knob wisely!

A friend of mine found me a 335 amp alternator that idles at 220. Gonna grab that up I think so to avoid issues later. Will post pics once I have it

Ok so my buddy didn't come thru on the alternator but I found a website that builds to order. It's dc power inc.

Freeway found another spot. 275 amps 150-180 idle. Ohio generator. Ordered mine this morning. 475 plus shipping. Should be here friday. Dc power was back ordered and I've heard good things about Ohio. I would check them out. Dude seemed like a good person to do business with.
