I looked for a thread covering this problem but didn't find one, so I apologize if this is a repeat. My issue is that my wife was driving our 03 expedition to work last night and both the ABS and brake warning lights came on. The lights didn't come back on during her drive home and they haven't come back on today. So I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. I'll probably take it to Autozone tonight to see if they can run a check on it, but I'm worried because we are suppose to go on a trip tomorrow. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's happened to me twice before. They go away after shut off. I do know that if the brake light is on, it usually means your brake fluid might be low (which is usually indicative of worn pads.)

Just be careful with adding fluid. As I said in the other post, as your pads wear, it requires more fluid to make the same compression, so your fluid level decreases. I guess it's designed to be a warning/reminder as to when you have low fluid. Just check your pads to make sure you have plenty left.

but also when this tank was my moms the abs light and parking brake light came on and the right front line burst! she still had brakes on the left front and rear right but no right front or rear left. so that was a FUNN fix.
