abs light on

Abs light was ona yr ago I replaced abs speed sensor on the rear axle, well it is on again. Well I replaced the speed sensor again and didn't fix it. I checked all fuses all were good. Up until a week it ago it was on and off abs light now it is constant
99 xlt 5.4 4x4

It may be one of the front sensors

There are quite a few pieces to that system. Have someone pull the codes to see where the fault lies. You could spend a fortune replacing parts on a hunch.

there are 3 fuses to check #15 and #25 under dash and #102 under the hood also could be the brake position switch If you would like a copy of the elect prints let me know

That would be great for a pin out and can codes be pulled on a o d reader as I already have one

I have two readers only one will read ABS codes its an Actron CP9580A AutoScanner® Plus was new on e-bay for $124.00

yea i tried my reader no trouble codes so it wont read abs. on a side note i checked the 3 fuses mentioned and all were good. i will have to find an abs reader

i just found this and its only 20 bucks, so im thinking get this so i dont just start replacing aimlessly

I would spend a little bit more and get a good one The one I have has saved more that its cost many times over but I also have used to to help friends.

You may want to try advanced auto and see if they can read the codes for abs systems or auto zone

C1095,c1096 both relate tp the pump. I cleared the codes and c1096 remained

if you do your own work I would suggest that you get a service manual you can get one from e-bay seller is morpheousking can get the dvd for $10.00 includes wiring diagrams and will cove many different models

when compared to the DVD I suggest for $10.00 you will agree that you wasted your money on the Haynes The DVD is a FORD factory workshop manual although the Haynes or Chilton are good the DVD is much better
