So I just finished the motor swap...running great. AC was ice cold before. Truck is a 2000 5.4 expedition. Never unhooked any AC lines just unbolted compressor and set aside. Now all hooded back up but compressor won't engage. I put a colorimeter on the 2 lead connector that goes to the compressor. (gray wire with white stripe and black wire)in no reading with AC on or off.... Checked fuse number 5 because that's what my shop manual says is for the AC... And it is got in the run position..I don't know how to narrow down any further.. Help please
Asking I have one wire that I can't figure out where it goes may be related??
one red wire with silver stripe. Comes out of harness on the past side near the front of the valve cover...it's got in run position don't know what it is....thank you all

so i must have hit the condenser with the motor when i pulled or installed it...or perhaps hit it with a tool or somthing. in any case it was damaged and leaked out the freon. co the low pressure switch would not engage the compressor. new condenser installed ac vacumed and charged ice cold. :)
