I've noticed that if the Expedition sits for more than about 18 hours, when we go to use it, it takes about 3-4 minutes for the AC to start blowing anything but HOT air. We are in Houston, its 100 degrees, and it literally blows hair dryer air for the first 3-4 minutes, while we are driving.

Anyone else had this happen? I'm sure the dealer will tell me its completely normal. None of our other Expeditions acted like that.

That is not normal. I have never experienced hot air coming out when my A/C is turned on. Even from a cold start when it is 95 degrees outside...

There’s several threads on here about people experiencing similar issues. You may take a look at those.

It is definitely not normal. Even if the cabin of vehicle is over 100 degrees, the Ac system itself will start getting cold within 10-15 seconds on a properly functioning system. It may take some time to cool down that hot of an interior. Are you doing repairs? Or just getting ammunition for trip to dealer? If dealer says its normal, ask to sit in another Expedition/F150 to prove it is. Chances are the other Expedition would cool down much quicker.
