When I have the adaptive cruise set, and it has to brake, I am getting a noise under the steering wheel. Anyone else having this issue, or is it normal?

Mine does it too...although it sounds like it’s coming from the front wheels. Sounds like the anti-lock brake noise you often get if you slam on the brakes in the rain. I think it’s just the system managing braking. But maybe we both have a problem.

While it is much noisier than other vehicles, it is normal operation of the electronic hydraulic braking system.

Makes me feel a little better if others have the same issue. I can see it being from the ABS breaking...

My kid has moved to a new daycare, so I am taking a new route in the mornings with a three mile stop and go section. I must say the stop and go feature on the adaptive cruise get me to work a lot less stressed. Not a perfect system, but it is very helpful.
