Adding Wallpaper to sync 1 with navigation on a 2010 MAX

I'm trying to add pictures to the sync on my 2010 MAX, but the system says it's a bad disc or wrong format. I did a standard format on a CD_R disc, is there a special format we need to format the disc with to get it to work?
