Just bought my 03 Expy FX4 and the Advance Trac light and message comes on just as soon as I touch the brake pedal. Anyone have suggestions on where to start looking for the problem? Thank you in advance!

One of the 4 speed sensors is going bad.. If the ABS light does not come on, it will soon. Problem is.. There is no way to know which sensor is the problem.. You will need to swap out each sensor, one by one..

Thanks

Thanks for the tip, I was wondering if that was the place to start. No ABS light yet and I don't know how long the Advancetrac light has been coming on since I just bought the vehicle. I will start replacing them one by one.

Thanks again,
Brent

I normally change the driver front, and keep the old cable should the light come on.. If the light come on, I replace the front passenger with the old cable.

If the light comes on, change the rear driver side, and keep cable. If light comes one, then it was the rear passenger side...

Cool

Cool, I will give that a try. We've had 3 times now where we have turned to go around a corner and the light will come on and beep at us. Do you recommend the OEM from the dealer or is there a particular brand that is as good?

In my case, I go thru atleast 1 every year... Tried both OEM and Napa.. Seems that they all last the same with my style of driving :)
