My 2003 Expedition gives a "42" sequence on the air bag light which I understand indicates a problem with the front impact sensor. Can anyone give a safe sequence for replacing the sensor. I really don't want to blow an airbag.

can he try shutting off the air with the switch in the back along with disconnecting the battery? curious?
Hey Thanks. Better Safe Than Sorry. Have a good day.It needs the electric from the battery to fire. just make sure all connections are made and everything is mounted and secure before you reconnect the battery.
Hey "sgtowing"! Just a follow up. I disconnected the battery, replaced the part, and reconnected the battery. Problem solved! Thanks again for the help.
