Hey guys, so I converted to coil springs a while ago and have an unused, working stock air compressor in my truck now. I was wondering what the pressure capacity was on it as I am toying with the idea of installing an air spring helper kit for the rear as it gets squishy when full of people or has a trailer on it.

My thought is I could plumb the rear springs into the stock compressor and have it remotely controlled for inflation and have a gauge with a valve in the dash to lower the pressure when needed...

The max air pressure recommended on the helper springs is 35psi btw...

What do you guys think, possible, practical?

It would depend on the psi that the horns require, unfortunately I don't know a ballpark figure for them. I do know big truck air horns feed off a tank that has 100-125 psi and will still blow at 60psi. I would expect it to produce at least that amount.

I'm more wondering if the stock compressor can at least do 35-40, if a new one is required for air horns I'm inclined to wait on that purchase ;-)
