New member and new owner to a CPO 2017 Expedition. Been looking for a while and got a smoking deal on this truck. 67k miles, brand new Goodyear Wranglers, and it looks/feels showroom new.

Got LEDS on the way to update the lighting. Done some searching and it looks like the most common mods are a catch can and bull bar/light bar. Will likely add the catch can, not sure about the bull bar.

I noticed my mirrors don't have embedded turn signals, can/do folks upgrade those?

What other relatively painless mods are there?

Thanks, all!

Hey @CubSmurf welcome to the forum! I'm sure lots of replies are to come as this is a hot topic. It would help to know which trim level you have for those offering recommendations.
You can get the LED blinker mirrors on eBay pretty easily for your truck. The catch can is an absolute must unless you drill the weephole in the charge air cooler (some here have both). UPR has the best setup in my opinion, but I would definitely start by addressing this known issue before spending time/money on any mods. Regarding mods - are you looking for more cosmetic or performance geared suggestions? A cold air intake is a great easy way to get some HP gains. You might also want to pull your plugs and check them. A lot of us change them every 20k miles due to the amount of crud getting blown through these engines and causing coking/misfires. You can't go wrong with a tune either for some significant performance gains - my personal favorite is ZFG Racing. I have a 93 gas and a towing tune from them. I like how they push the limits but keep safety as a priority. For cosmetic upgrades I've always been a fan of the stock 22" rims. My personal opinion is that the factory looks wear best on these trucks. I might add some of the factory chrome trim elements to my XLT if I ever want to switch things up.

Thanks for reply, Elias.

It a basic XLT with the heated mirrors as the only option.

Has the basic SYNC system which if I wanted to upgrade I see it costs a LOT. It's fine:)

Probably not going to do much performance wise as I don't want to negate the CPO warranty. (Maybe just CAI) Which is why I went with the LEDs first, and they're easy DIY and make a dramatic difference.

Another can of worms possibly, but is there a consensus best plugs?

Oh, one thing I've noticed and was shocked about is how much low-end torque there is! She's a little torque monster. :)

Which Sync version do you have? Sync 2 I'm assuming?
If you want to keep it stock, I'd still recommend a tune. You'll get much more out of the engine without compromising the mechanics. You can remove the tune before you take it in for service if you're concerned about it causing warranty "questions" at the dealer. I don't think a catch can will void your warranty but I think that depends on how picky your dealer is - some people here leave it in before getting serviced and don't have issues. Either way, it greatly helps correct a known issue and is not as destructive as drilling the CAC. I have done both, but I don't have a warranty to work around.
For plugs, I would stick with Motorcraft plugs gapped to .030. I think the current iteration of these plugs is SP-580.

Didn't see it was a '17 foul mouth negative farm boy.

Flattered that you think about me all of the time, but try to remember, this is the internet, and nobody here takes you seriously.
With that said, you really need to work on your reading comprehension as it is severely lacking.
As well, if you really knew as much as you claim, you'd know by the numbers alone that those sets of plugs are for two different applications and you wouldn't have felt the need to showcase your minuscule knowledge, let alone literary ability.

Sincerely, the negative farm "boy" who lives, rent free, in your little old head.
