Can someone post a picture of where the alternator wire connects? It connects somewhere on the left side of the passenger side engine bay, but cannot figure out where.

The charge wire that connects to the post on the alternator. When I took my Expedition off roading last weekend, it mist have came off from where ever it was connected to. It doesn't go to the positive on the battery. Follow that wire from the alternator to ?

According to the wiring diagram the one wire that has a ring terminal is the B+. It runs from the alternator to the mega fuse. Should be a yellow/white wire if the color coding is correct.

Nope don't have the 97. I'm going to assume that your real problem is the alt isn't charging. Is that correct?

Correct. At first I thought maybe the alterntor took a dump on me, but brought it in to get it tested and it passed. Battery is good for sure. I noticed when I was taking it off that it wasn't connected to anything at the other end towards the passenger side.
