Been reading up on these programmers for a while, seems most everyone is getting up to a maximum of a 3mpg incgrease. But my question was, is when you set those programmers to performance, what kind of hp/torque gains are you all seeing?

never did a dyno but by my "seat-of-the-pants" dyno you can defiantly feel the power gains.... biggest thing I have noticed with my Edge CS is that the tranny shifts a lot better and smoother..

Same here, I have the SCT XCAL3, I like the custom tune feature, it does shift much better than stock for sure.

Did you guys have to manually adjust your shift points, or does the programmer do it for you?

I can only say for the Edge but mine has a tranny only setting were u can adjust everything but I have only played with levels 2 and 3 and they set the tranny to work best with the corresponding level

my tranny shifts better with my hypertech programmer. i got mine off craigslist... ooo 2.5 years ago. i think. i remember putting it back to stock and i was like omg this is sooo slow! i put it back on and more power. i think my mpg stayed the same though. i want to drive around on stock again for little bit to see what i get. and if its better idc. haha i still want an edge. but mainly the cst.

Gotcha, so two last questions for ya; 1) What are the biggest gains from owning one? 2) Are they worth every dollar spent?

yes they are worth every penny.... my preference and others on here probably agree the edge CS is awesome... besides the smoother shifts and power and mpg gain the edge allows real time monitoring of up to 8 different things from air temp, coolant temp, tranny temp, voltage...ect ect.. cant remember everything but with either the suction cup or the dash pod they just look cool and work great

I would say, mpg is much better, the way the truck shifts, the extra power and the ability to adjust things like tire size, and gear ratios.

My tuner has already paid for itself in just the simple fact of mpgs and saving my tranny due to better shifting.
