Another towing question

From what I have read, my new to me 2010 XLT Expy EL should have the heavy duty tow package because it has the 7-pin connector, as well as the 4-pin connector. However, I'll be darned if I can find the tranny cooler, that is supposed to be 5 row, or 7 row, or however many rows that no one can agree on. I have read 3 different posts that state if the vehicle has the 7-pin connector, it has the heavy duty towing package. Yet, behind my grille, sits a plastic bracket dead center with nothing in it. Who else has this issue?

It's the thing right in front of your radiator and it is indeed mounted to the radiator via plastic brackets. If there's nothing there, you don't have it.

Yep I figured that, because I know what one is. But why do I keep reading that "if the 7-pin connector is there, the vehicle has it"? If this is true, when did this change? And has anyone plumbed in a aftermarket cooler to that location?

Don't worry buddy I have 4 coolers attached to my radiator, beside the one for the tranny I'm clueless what's the other 3 for but I do know they hold presser for some type of fluid

It's possible the tow lighting was added on after purchase at the dealer.

Yeah, I guess that's true, never thought of that. Just my luck. Has anyone added an aftermarket cooler in and around that location? Mounting the cooler seems to be straightforward I guess, it's the plumbing I'd be a bit lost on.

Thanks for the replies. I had checked the Ford site originally, but is only said Tow Package, I could not find the famous 576 or 586 package number, or whatever the number is. It also said I had the Anti-sway Package. I went out and looked today, the 7-pin is definitely factory, as is the 4-pin and the receiver itself. All the wiring looks factory as well. I will look under the dash tonight to see if the electric brake pigtail is there. Kind of bizarre

Mine didn't show a package number, just "With Heavy Duty Trailer Towing". And the electronic brake harness from Ford is still sealed in its bag with the jack.
