Any high performance radiators for these things? And electric fans?

I've been searching high and low trying to find a radiator setup that is better than factory in theory we should be able to use F150 radiators which would mean an all aluminum Mishimoto setup can be used. But past that are there any 2 core or 3 core setups? I live in the desert and it gets damned hot here in West Texas, as of this posting we are due to see 112 degrees. Now while I'm not having any real temp issues I do like to try and "future proof" things, did with with my mustang and I'm in the process of doing it with my second Lightning. I figure I'd ask to see if anyone here as picked up an Expy direct replacement as well as done an electric fan swap....kinda tired of this thing sounding like a UPS truck despite me installing a new water pump, clutch and fan....and let's face it the extra bit of power and minimal gas mileage increase from electric fans is a plus. So....info...options??

Do you have a radiator shop in your town ? They can custom build you one.

Flex-A-Lite makes a conversion fan : https://www.flex-a-lite.com/direct-...-duty-expedition-navigator-and-blackwood.html

Never thought about having a radiator shop do me one. I'll call around for sure.

As for the flexalite setup....have they fixed their ****** fan controller issues? I've been heavily considering doing a raptor fan setup as I figure a 6.2l that's made to play in the desert would work fine here

Do you tow anything?

I have a tough time thinking of a situation where the factory radiator would be insufficient. Even flogging this thing from stoplight to stoplight towing the boat, I can't get coolant temperatures over 210° with outside temperatures in the mid-90's. Electric cooling fans would be nice, though.

It sometimes tows my lightning, but past that it's the family tank and 4x4 toy. I havent been able to get the temp gauge to even the middle, but I'd like to make things better...hell if I could find a better higher performance condenser and stuff for the AC I'd be swapping things. (Anyone make a better performing AC condenser?).
As for electric fans I really want em, but I'm not gonna dive in and swap em and be "meh" about it. I honestly think a Raptor setup would be bes . The flexalite setup looks good as well....but I dont trust their controllers since their controllers used to go up in smoke with ease. I'd also like to use an inline water temp sensor for it so I'd have to cut the radiator hose

My 2004 XLT is an old police commander's unit. It came with a pusher fan on it with an switch mounted below the headlight switch.
With that fan on and at highway speeds, it's Antarctica, even in South Texas heat.

At highway speed, that electric fan isn’t doing any good.

In 2018 I had my radiator replaced with a 3 core and pusher fan when I had A/C work done. I was not having a cooling issue but looked at it as preventative maintenance with haveing over 200k on the truck at the time. Interestingly my truck came with the towing packing and the stock radiator was only 1 core (3 was biggest I could put in stock setup from what I recall)

The reason I added the pusher fan was not for cooling while the vehicle is moving (The air coming in from driving handles that) I put it on for when I have my A/C on and sitting in traffic or at stoplights, etc. Not sure if you all have the same experience as me but when sitting with no air going over the condenser the A/C doesn't perform well so with adding 1 pusher fan that has eliminated the issue. Living in So Cal and traveling to NV & AZ the pusher fan has worked as I intended.

Note: If getting a pusher fan I would recommend spending the money on an efficient quite one. The 1st fan installed from the shop was way to loud I went back and had upgraded pusher fan installed.

Can you possibly post a picture of the set up of your pusher fan? I am looking to install one as I live in Saudi Arabia and its blazing hot and humid!!!

Ragebuzz, I currently have one pusher fan that is hooked up to turn on when the A/C comes on ( it turns off and on within temp range) You will see an image at the battery where they installed a separate fuse. One thing I am going to add is a switch (discretely located) to where I can turn off (bypass) the fan when I like. For whatever reason Ford's climate control likes to turn on the A/C whenever the heat/defroster is turned doesn't make sense to me so the fan goes on when the heat is turned on. I turn off the A/C button and the fan will turn off except for when the defroster is in use the fan just stays on.

Im very interested to know what radiator you used to replace the stock one with for one. Second I'd love to know about your fan setup (brand etc) as I'd like to replicate it on my ride out here in the desert of west Texas

Have you called some radiator shops in your town? They'll take your end tanks and put 'em on a 3 row core. They can probably even set you up with whatever fan setup you want as well.

Hi Kryo-Genik, I looked through my paperwork and it did not indicate the manufactures. The radiator is a 3 core aluminum new unit and the fan is a 16 in curved blade push/pull unit (I have as a pusher). I also had the condenser replace as a precaution. Any quality brand of this combination will work well.

I have an electric fan from a PnP '98 Mark VIII I am planning to install in my 2004 as a pusher w/switch/relay for better A/C cooling when needed. Was cheap enough when I picked up years ago.
Have one on my '86 Ford F250 6.9l diesel P/U and works great.

Dual efans are an option and there is a massive thread from a few years ago showing part numbers from summit racing and another site

Search for efans or dual efan kit
