The ability to self produce a 3d key is handy. I've done this with two different Fords. Good hardware store can cut the key. "But it won't work." is their usual response, but we know it can be cloned if you have two others handy.

Activating remote start just takes changing some hexadecimal code with Forscan and is well documented.

I've seen and read 4 but, my manual says up to 8 keys!

You’re talking about the key fob with a metal key, the IKT...the OP has the fob which doesn’t have a metal key like yours, it’s the Intelligent Access Key (IAK).

I wish I could of read this a couple weeks ago, lol. I purchased the remote start fobs for my 2017, then enabled remote start in Forscan. It worked a few times then quit, but I finally figured out the sequence!

did you just turn it on in forscan or did you have to change a value in one of the modules?
