Back Door and Window Won't Open! HELP

Has anyone had any issues with their back hatch not opening? The window won't even open. I can hear it trying to unlock but seems to make no difference. Taking the plastic off to get inside of the door seems next to impossible being that the door won't open

I did this repair 8 months ago. Worked great until yesterday. Not bad for a couple zip ties. Getting that panel off with the door closed is a PITA but it can be done. Ill be doing it again today.

I to do this mod too my rig...it's getting harder and harder to open the rear hatch/window.
