Bad cops

Just wanted to update anyone who needs to get cops. I suspected a bad cop, and found a place online of course. The random misfire problem didn't change, and I spent hours trouble shooting. I tried pressure cleaning injectors, changing all the plugs (again), found a minor head gasket leak with the CO detector and used block seal to fix it, found several intake leaks and fixed them. I went back to square one and started swapping the new Cops with old one's. The third one fixed my intermittent dead cylinder. I tested all the new Cops and they all were miles beyond the limits, 11k secondary...

I got what I paid for, at $5 each. Stick to the ebay accel cops at $16 each, they're your best bet

Joe, sorry to hear about your trouble...But I always feel you get what you pay for...it dont pay especially on a job so labor intensive..

wierd my cops came from global auto on ebay and have been going strong for almost 2 years now

I've been contemplating switching out my cops but now I think I'll wait till one busts... =\

I have had same problems with coils bought from Uneeksupply at Ebay. Changed all coils and got hesitation and jerking right after that. Went to dealer, and changed 3 coils, and it is working ok now

Well, I looked closer at my defective cop, and see its the wrong part number. It belongs on an escape. Either way, all my other $5 cops are way out of spec too. I got them from some online wholesale parts website. It has a constant rough intermittent idle. Used to idle perfect. From now on I'll get the accel cops on ebay, great prices.
