bad Superchips programmer

Bought a used one for cheap. Got home figured out that when it says VIN locked that it means I'm screwed.

I know what happened and a ll of the technical stuff but what I need is an answer.

Can I do anything with this programmer in the state that it is? Aside from diagnostics? Anyway to get the program back on it?

I think you can call Superchips and they can unlock it for a fee, or something like that. If you paid with credit card/paypal you might be able to get your money back or something?

i think it costs circa $200 to have reflashed, its to stop people saying they have bought a dodgey unit when in reality they have flashed someones truck and simply want to do their own too.
