Anyone got any cool pics/stories of their expy taking on winter?

Winter suggestions?
Mine are jumper cables, make sure your battery is in good shape and recent, make sure you’ve got good tire tread left. Oh and it may seem a bit much, but carry a blanket. If you ever get stuck without a coat it could save your life.

I carry a full emergency backpack with water, food bars, first aid kit. poncho, lighter matches, etc. I also keep several blankets, mainly for when I haul stuff but they can be used to keep warm and I have some candles, knives, and a bunch of flash lights. I pays to be prepared. Oh and I also have an extra hat and gloves in the back.

Make sure your wiper fluid aint straight tap/bottled water

Adjust tire inflations to cover temperature changes.

30+ years driving in Buffalo NY winters. This is the best I owned. Stopping distance, however is same as other vehicles. Black ice is something to be careful of. Rain with night time freezing temps. Keep tank between 1/2 and full. The extra weight helps and prevents moisture build up.

Love the video! Curious what tires you all run? I get great mileage from my BFG AT’s

Ditto the emergency backpack idea above. I always have a couple emergency blankets, whistle, compass, flashlight, etc.

Chains, Hi-lift jack w/ORB base & Lift Mate, recovery strap, traction aid to drive out of the snow in case stuck. Once is all it takes.
Also an extra COP, Fuses, Extra relay, etc. and a basic tool kit.

I also have a tow chain, jumper cables a stainless steel cup for melting snow and heating up water or whatever else I need it for. I'm always armed, so I do have a firearm and spare ammo and extra full magazines with me - Just in case. I keep a hatchet in the back in case I ever slide of the road in a wooded area. At least I have a way of chopping trees to make something to keep the wind off me. = not that I ever expect to use it but better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

How about getting a cell phone. You could just call for help, instead bringing all that gear?

My phones dies all the time Idont trust my life to it. Also if you have poor reception it won’t help. Tow strap was a great suggestion as well. Extra COP good idea. Lots of good ideas floating around. keeping tank higher than half is key and a great suggestion. I remember the 2014 blizzard people were stuck on the highway for hours and hours in their vehicles. If nobody can get to you to help that’s all the heat source you have. I’d also reccomend one of those mini automotive shovels.

Hey guys, be sure to toss a heavy comforter in the back. They work wonders by laying them sideways and under the tires if stuck....put it in 4lo and let the truck walk right over your comforter until clear....has been a God send to me!

++ on all the other suggestions!

Yeah the Grand Tour is good but..... not what TopGear was.

It's a shame it turned out the way it did.

Good to have the three amigos together.
