Probably the black/chrome surround that is interchangeable. It surrounds the reflector bowls, so it won't affect light output.

As for Michael, you could also try opening up the fog light and paint the top and bottom (not the reflector bowl) of the fog light. It gives the appearance of a darker light while still keeping most of the output of the light. Also, are you going to keep the mirror turn signal amber, or are you going for the Navi mirror look?

i was referring to law issues and lgiht output

looks good...yes you need the smoke lenses...got mine from tasca...

check their section...i have part numbers and pricing...if in states add $10 for shipping and i got them in a few days
