brake lines - copper/nickle tubing

Anyone ever use copp/nickle brake line tubing? It's suppose to have better protection for corrosion.

Any commments or experience with this stuff?

Are you able to find some made for the expedition? I never could. The conclusion I came to is you only need copper/nickle tubing for racing applications due to it being more like to malfunction in some way (can't remember how).

I've used nothing but stainless lines for every project I've ever done and I've never had a issue. The Scout II that I just sold was my daily driver for over 12 years in Cleveland winters and the lines still look new.

Granted, they are a bit harder to work with, but I think it's worth it.

so would u say that using the copper nickle stuff would be a waste of money?

only reason is i was told this stuff will not rust, I had a local shop offer a life time warranty on the lines, but they want $300 just for lines going from abs unit to the front brakes.

I was just thinkng of buying a roll and makinf he lines myself.
