Hello,
I'd like to start by saying that I am new to the forum. I have a 98 Eddie Bauer edition that my family has had since the day they bought it back in 98. I wanted to make this tread to ask you guys (or girls) about some questions I have about the car. I want to bring this car back to its glory days. Why leave a perfectly good car off the street or off road huh? So here come the questions:
1) the rear suspension is sagging but I want to give the car a 3" lift. Would I have to fix the rear suspension first then lift it?
2) my father who passed the car down to me said it needed a new cat converter. Anything in particular I should look for in buying on or where I can get a good deal on one?

So far that's all the problems i can find. Please let me know if there's any other info I can give.

would suggest that you get a good workshop manual

ford workshop manual on DVD can be obtained from seller "morpheousking" on e-bay cost about $10.00 much better than Clymer or Chilton and also includes wiring diagrams

Hello,

If the air ride is having issues, I would highly recommend a coil spring conversion. Many of us have done it and love the results!

Do the coil conversion. That will get the sag out of the rear and you should be able to do the lift at the same time. The converter you can pick up at pull a part/junkyard cheaper than a parts store.
