cel still on

i have a 99 4x4 expy....i recently replaced all 8 plugs, wires, and one edis coil.....reconnected the battery and cel came back on after driving for about 15 mins, i then found aand repaired a vacuum leak from that hose that goes from the brake booster to the back of the intake. She runs as smooth as silk now, absolutley no problems, but the cel is still on.......Do i have to disconnect the battery again to clear it.......i figure the cel light came on with the vacuum leak but shouldnt it go off after the repair or does it have a memory that needs to be cleared? any advice would be much appreciated

Go to an auto parts store and have them read the codes for the cel. Post back and we will be better able to help you out.
