Coat hook installation

Good afternoon, new member here. I have a 2005 Expedition with over 200,000 mostly trouble free miles. It’s the best vehicle I’ve owned in my almost 50 years of driving. But I do have one issue. The coat hook broke (my fault... too much weight). I ordered a new one and pushed it into place... but it won’t stay. What’s the trick? I guess I could get the dealer to do it... but it shouldn’t be that difficult. I’m obviously doing something wrong. Help!
