Compass problem

I have a 1997 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer
The compass is stuck on S.
The compass is in the overhead with the MPG display, not in the mirror.
I tried disconnecting the battery for awhile but that didnt help.

You could try the compass recalibration it outlines in the manual. It involves something like driving in circles for a while or something.
