Coolant tank cap

While my coolant level is at an acceptable level and don't need to do anything with it, I acquired a coolant tester for another 'project' and was going to test it (to see if the tester really says anything).

however, I cannot get the cap to come off. It turns around 3/4 of a turn and won't go any more. Pulling up doesn't seem to budge. So stupid question: how is it supposed to come off?

Nope. No matter how much force to push down, there isn't another 'catch' to overcome after the first 3/4 turn, just the initial catch. It does not want to come out.
