Hiya,

I'm working on a friends 03 Expedition, 5.4L. I traced an oil leak to the oil filter adapter. I figured a new gasket would fix it but the old gasket looked fine. I started looking really hard at the adapter and found a hairline crack in it just above the bottom bolt hole. I need a replacement without going to the dealer. Does anyone have one and happen to live near the Spokane WA area? This thing is now stranded in my garage taking up my space until I can find a replacement. I have looked at every wrecking yard around here and it seems they just toss them into the scrap pile when they pull the engines.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Yes, it is the oil filter mount. It's also the water inlet for the lower radiator hose. I really doubt JB Weld will hold because it is where the lower mounting bolt hole is. It is flexing and allowing the gasket to leak.
