were they part# SP-515, they had some manufacturing defects so in 2017/2018 timeframe they came out with the new SP-546 which is improved. Possible it’s old stock or a bad run of plugs.

The new one thst just broke today is a 546

Can you stack an indexing ring or two around the threads and lift the plug out of the cylinder a bit?

So far the champion is performing well. Gonna take it out and check it after a few more days

Can you stack an indexing ring or two around the threads and lift the plug out of the cylinder a bit?
That's kind of along the lines I was thinking but I don't know that they make indexing rings for this plug design currently. Maybe a standard 14 mm or whatever the thread size on this will work. I remember these being a 9/16 socket instead of a 5/8. So they're either a 12 or 14mm thread.
I'm thinking more about it, I guess a standard indexing ring for a tapered seat style plug should work just fine.
