Ok, so my 2010 Expedition had a wax in June and still looks great. I plan on getting it fully detailed and waxed before winter(Lots of salt used in winter where I live).
I was just curious in between washes, after you wash the outside, or as a self detailing step. What do you guys use to wipe down the nooks and crannies. Talking about door jams, inside of the doors, engine bay(painted areas not the engine), inside of hatch, anything with paint on it. Do you use a wash and wax type product? Do you need micro fiber cloths?
I've had the same 2 beatup vehicles for 13 years until this Expedition, so I really haven't done much car detailing lately. With my boat I just spray with vinegar and water mix and wipe everything down. I don't want to do that to the expedition unless I know its ok..
Also what do you use for the black plastic parts. I've noticed the plastic at the base of the windshield is looking a little faded, I would like to blacken it back up and wipe it down(along with other black plastic areas). What product do you guys use for that. Armor-All is something I avoided in the past because of its shininess, but I will use whatever is best.
thanks
Edit: I just noticed the main site page has a detailing forum. I apologize. I won't do a double post over there if this thread can be moved. Sorry mods.
