the difference is the first one does four cylinders at at time(only 2 are needed)and is not considered COP(coil on plug)...the second is COP, meaning one coil per cylinder(8 needed)...i know my 97 5.4 4x4 takes the COP. and uneek supply is who i got my coils from..no problem with the 8 i ordered!

Oh ok. I got it now. So, if I bought the 4pack item I would need to get the wires as well correct?

Ok, I'll have to do that when I get a minute. I'm working all weekend. Thanks for the input.

Finally got out and looked...I have the Coil '4packs'. And, it looks like a bugger to change both packs, wires, and plugs...

Is changing the packs, wires, and plugs something the avg joe can do in their driveway? The back plugs look like they are going to be a pain.

That's what I am wondering, mine started to misfire this morning. Ran like a damn tank down the road. How do you figure out which one it is? Or do you just replace all of them?

Well I went out and bought the hand held computer to plug it in. Anyone have a link on how to take them out and replace them? Not to thread hijack or anything, I have a 2000xlt 5.4 V8.
