Hi everyone!

I have an idle question that's been on my mind for a while. If this is the wrong section for this, please let me know and move it to where it belongs.

I have a 2016 Expedition EL SSV with a 3.73 axle, and a 2015 F150 CC/LB XLT with a 3.55 axle. The F150 always feels snappier off the line, and feels like it tows better. Fuel economy is similar between the two trucks, 15-19 mpg depending on circumstances. Both trucks start and run great.

I'm not quite sure on their weights, but they seem like they would be similar.

My question is... is there a difference between the two vehicles' ECU/TCU tuning? Or is this just all in my head and due to subtle differences in weight/drag/gear ratios, etc.?

Thanks for indulging my curiosity!

EDIT: Both have 3.5L Ecoboost engines

Might be weight. The Expedition is going to be heavier. But you can use an OBD dongle to get peak boost numbers and timing as well. Not sure if there's a way to get torque demand from accelerator input. Try emailing one of the reputable tuners, MPT, Unleashed, ZFG, etc. They could probably answer very quickly.
